Brown rice and Japan - the TOMO experience

Japanese food story TOMO travels

Japan has always been self-sufficient in rice. This explains why rice has for a very long time been the basis of Japanese cuisine. Even if people eat mostly white rice, the advantages of brown rice have been more and more studied and many scientists agree with the fact that brown rice has more benefits for health
According to the Medical Rice Association, a Japanese organization that focuses on the advantages of rice, brown rice has specific features: indeed, brown rice is high in fiber, which allows better digestion. It contains refined grains, which make your stomach full and decrease the feeling of satiety (and help for diet!).
This is why TOMO decided to offer both white and brown rice with the Ise Hikari type, so you can enjoy healthy Japanese rice, no matter the occasion, and no matter the dish you want to eat!
