Japanese organic brown rice is transported to a roasting factory on the Kurohime plateau in Nagano Prefecture. Then, it undergoes a lunar therapy during which brown rice is exposed to waves similar to moonlight.

Unlike coffee beans, brown rice grains are small and have a high water content. Therefore its roasting requires a high level of skill. Genshin coffee is roasted in a single unit of 60kg, and is not mass-produced.
