I decided to cook a donburi (= a Japanese rice dish) with Isehikari rice with salmon eggs. To do so, I soaked the rice for 30 minutes in water and cooked it at low heat. It tastes even better prepared in a pan than in a rice cooker. The rice is white, shiny and it has a wonderful smell! The grains are large and soft, with a slightly sweet taste. Isehikari rice is delicious when it's eaten just after being cooked, but I also took the leftovers to prepare my bento, and it was just as delicious!
Thank you very much for this precious rice, and Happy New Year!
