The Café Genshin Challenge
New Zealand is reputed to have the highest number of roasters per inhabitant in the world. There are about 10,000 coffee shops dispersed around the country, and the capital city of Wellington has more coffee shops per inhabitant than New York. Coffee in New Zealand is heavily influenced by Italian espresso and is mostly made in a machine. So, how has 供TOMO's Café Genshin been received by New Zealanders?
Overload Anime ＆Manga Convention
The Overload Anime & Manga Convention is an annual Japan event held in Auckland, New Zealand. With the cooperation of the local TV station Sakura Television Network, we invited visitors to tried our Café Genshin twice, in 2019 and 2021.
The Overload Anime & Manga convention is an event that mainly promotes Japanese pop culture, but Japanese food is also very popular. Health-conscious visitors were charmed by Café Genshin, made only from Japanese ingredients and 100% organic.

The Overload Anime & Manga 2021 convention had the highest attendance ever. When the doors opened at 10 am, you could already see 3 lines 50 meters long. At 2 pm, people were still lining up to get in.
The success of this event helped with the great success of Café Genshin: compared to our first participation 2 years ago, 3 times more people came to taste our brown rice coffee, which represents a big difference compared to the 300 people who came 2 years ago. The visitors who tasted our brown rice coffee were convinced and bought our Café Genshin along with our Chocolats Café Genshin, which were sold out.
Overload Anime ＆Manga Convention 2019

Participating in Overload, an annual comic and manga convention held in New Zealand, was a great challenge for 供TOMO. Although we had previously taken part in Japanese events in France and Monaco, this was our first experience in Oceania. We were able to offer Café Genshin and wasanbon tastings at the booth of the local television station, Sakura Television Network. The feedback was positive, and the 供TOMO team was delighted by this experience.
