The importance of sleep for children

From 6 to 12 years old, doctors say that children should sleep between 9 and 12 hours per night. A good quality sleep allow children to strengthen their immune system, it helps them to focus during the day and it reduces the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure when they become adults.

To find out if your child is getting enough sleep, there are a few signs that can alert you: if they have trouble waking up in the morning, if they lack of concentration, or if they get sick more easily than usual, it may be the consequences of not getting enough sleep.
