Kaishi (懐紙) is a multipurpose elegant piece of paper traditionally used during the Japanese tea ceremony. You can use it :

  • as a plate to serve sweets,
  • as a coaster or table decoration,
  • to clean off your tea bowl,
  • to wipe your mouth during the tea ceremony,
  • to wrap leftover sweets after a tea ceremony,
  • to write down a note.

The 供TOMO printed pattern refers to the logo of the annual Tea Ceremony organized in the Japanese Garden of Monaco during the Monaco Japan Week. We hope that you will appreciate its design combining Monegasque and Japanese traditions.

供TOMO kaishi are made from Minowashi paper, a paper traditionally manufactured in Gifu prefecture. This paper is also recorded in the UNESCO World Heritage.
